August Sage & Violet is a floral design studio based in New York, dedicated to the art of creating with nature’s most fleeting medium—flowers.

We are deeply passionate about exploring the nuances and poetic expression that floral styling allows.

Founded in the summer of 2011 by Rhonda Smith, August Sage & Violet was born from a vision of blending

tradition with emerging styles. With over two decades of experience and roots tracing back through

four generations of floral designers and horticulturists, Rhonda aims to push creative boundaries by blending

heritage and innovation in every project. Artistic, conceptual, and always evolving—no two events we design are

ever the same. We see each client as a creative partner, and every event as a unique opportunity to collaborate and

craft something truly personal.
